We Aim to be Neutral Bay’s Most Trusted Invisalign Provider
Are you tired of looking in the mirror and seeing misaligned teeth? You might wish to improve the appearance and health of your smile, but the idea of bracket-and-wire braces does not fit into your lifestyle. Invisalign is a teeth-straightening system that will give you a properly aligned smile without the discomfort and appearance of traditional braces.
Custom, crystal-clear trays, called aligners, are used to gently bring your teeth into the correct alignment. You should only remove your aligners to clean your teeth and eat or drink hot liquids. Invisalign is available for both older teenagers and adults. Average treatment plan times last for about 12-24 months, but we customise every plan based on individual patient needs, so yours may be longer or shorter. We will work with you to create your own individual plan and keep you informed of the progress you are making.
Why choose Invisalign?
Invisalign has numerous convenient advantages over traditional braces. Traditional braces require frequent appointments to “tighten” the wires and check the condition of the braces. With Invisalign, you simply switch to the next set of aligners, which are created according to the order of treatment laid out by your dentist.
Braces can leave marks on your teeth from the brackets and cement that hold them in place. Even with good oral hygiene habits, stains can still gather around your brackets and cause permanent discoloration. The brackets can also irritate your delicate tissue and cause pain or discomfort.
Using Invisalign also allows you to eat an unrestricted diet without giving up sticky or crunchy foods that are known for damaging the wires and brackets of traditional braces.
Is Invisalign Right for You?
Do you have teeth that look out of place? Do you have a prominent overbite or underbite? Invisalign can treat these common problems and many others including:
- Protruding teeth
- Wide gaps
- Unusual spacing
- Crowding
- Open bite
- Crossbite
Caring for Invisalign
Practising good oral hygiene will keep your teeth healthy and with Invisalign it’s easy. Remove the aligners and brush and floss your teeth as usual. Brush your aligners and rinse with warm water or use the Invisalign cleaning kit to keep your aligners in good shape and free from bacteria. Never use hot water to rinse or clean your aligners. The plastic could warp. If this happens, call our office immediately. You should also call our office if your aligner cracks or appears distorted. It’s important to always brush your teeth following a meal, before you replace your aligners. If you replace your aligners without brushing, bacteria can collect and cause decay, bad breath, or gum disease.
Please contact our office to find out more information. We are happy to schedule a consultation appointment so you can find out whether Invisalign is a good option for you.

FAQs About Invisalign
Invisalign works best for older teens and adults wishing to improve the health and appearance of their smiles. To learn if Invisalign is right for your teeth, we welcome you to our office for an evaluation with our dentist. Invisalign has a product created specifically for teenagers — Invisalign Teen. If your teenager needs to have crooked teeth or other dental flaws corrected, call our office and schedule an appointment to discuss Invisalign Teen
Keeping your aligners clean during treatment will help you stay healthy and have fresh breath. Remove them and then rinse them with warm water and a cleanser designed for Invisalign, which your dentist will recommend. Never rinse your aligners with hot water because this can cause them to distort. You should also avoid brushing them with a regular toothbrush and toothpaste because these are abrasive and can damage the surface of the aligner, which will provide a place for bacteria to grow.
Most patients choose Invisalign because they want a more discreet treatment option. Invisalign aligner trays are nearly invisible, making your treatment convenient. Since you can remove Invisalign, you will not need to eliminate foods from your diet. Patients also enjoy that Invisalign is comfortable because it does not require sharp brackets.
